CALFVIN

Introduction

Proper management of young calves is crucial to the success of any dairy farm. An optimal level of nutrition in early life is important for faster growth and early maturity in calves. Calf milk replacers (CMRs) provide such convenient way to feed preruminant calves in juvenile state. CALFVIN is a novel calf milk replacer formulated correctly from some good-quality natural ingredients. It contains a variety of ingredients required for proper daily supplementation and energy requirement of calves. When fed as per the instructions, calves can grow equally well on CALFVIN and their rumens can develop similarly if they would on a diet of whole milk. Since the cost of reconstituted milk from CALFVIN is about one-third the cost of whole milk, it is an economical alternative to feeding young calves. It contains the essential nutrients for newborn calves such as probiotics, essential vitamins, minerals, prebiotics, and colostrum.

Recommendation

Add 125 g of CALFVIN in 1 litre of warm water (50 C) to make 1 litre of reconstituted milk (the equivalent of whole milk).
Start offering CALFVIN at 5 to 7 days and then increase gradually.
For first 10 days replace only one-time feeding of whole milk with CALFVIN (reconstituted milk).
By next week also replace the second time feeding.
